Building a financial co-pilot with a deterministic engine, a memory layer, and RAG

BeneficIA is a financial co-pilot for Colombian cardholders: it consolidates the benefits across all your credit and debit cards and tells you which one to use, here and now, to get the most out of every purchase.

In the demo we’ll show the system running on a physical Android device and open the hood on three things: the deterministic NBA (Next Best Action) engine that ranks benefits with pure rules, no LLM, fully auditable and cached in Redis; the memory layer that persists user context from onboarding and personalizes every recommendation; and how the entire hexagonal architecture backend was built using an AI-DLC workflow. RAG with Qdrant powers the BIA chatbot but it’s not the main act.
